Some groups will form spontaneously. They
will be the natural collection of friends and/or neighbors who
associate with each other from time to time.
You may wish to consult a list of groups that
are forming available at the Welcome Center, the church office
or contact Bob Gordon. We will help form the small groups. Stay
in touch with the Welcome Center in the church Narthex for latest
information on small groups. You can join and existing group...or
as mentioned below, form your own group.
Better yet, you can form your own group! Just
gather some friends or neighbors and agree on when to meet.
They do not have to be members of our church, but we can pray
that they decide to become a permanant part of our church lives.
Ask yourself, who do I know that should hear
the Word of the Lord? You can make it non-threatening, by just
inviting friends and neighbors over for an evening of visiting.
Of course you will wish to inform them of the purpose, but it
will not be a "hard sell", as Christians do not need
to do that. We just share the Good News in a Purpose Driven
manner.
We also have a web site, where you can email
(church@trinityluth.net)
your availability to join a group. Here you may specify you
wish a certain age group, young singles, or those with young
children, older single folks, or any other special needs.
This is such a great way to meet folks...and
become a part of a church, in the same manner Jesus did so many
years ago...by starting with just Twelve!
As a host, you need simply agree on the ground
rules that are suitable to everyone; such as meeting place,
times, are refreshments necessary?, and shall it be a "floating"
meeting where each week it is in a different location?
Limited church facilities are available for
a group, since the church is in use just about every evening
for various activities. During the day, there may be rooms available.
Check with the church office regarding use of the facilities. |
