Three Year Olds
Our pre-school offers a three (3) year and (4) year old Early Childhood Program as part of its Christian day school. Studies have shown that children who are introduced to learning at an early age ( pre-K ) seem to have a more positive attitude toward school and more self-confidence.
Some skills and concepts are more easily learned and retained at a young age than at any other time. This is especially true of perceptual development and work habits, such as listening and following directions.
Classes are available for chidren who are three (3) years of age on or by September 1st of the calendar year. Classes are held from 8 - 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays or the same time on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Parents may choose either set of days. A maximum of ten students will be allowed in each class.
The curriculum includes religion, language arts, math, physical education, art, and music.

Student Assessment Reports are given twice a year, Parent – Teacher conferences are scheduled after the first semester, and the 4 PK program follows the regular school calendar.

The principal of the Christian day school works very closely with the teacher and assists where special help or services need to be secured for children or their families.
A good early childhood program can assist parents in laying an important foundation in the Christian faith. Beginning a Christian education at an early age can benefit children in several ways. Music, art, worship, and Bible stories geared for this age level provide an exciting beginning to religious education. |
The early childhood class has access to all the facilities of the Christian day school as needed including the library, audio-visual equipment, gymnasium, etc.
A few of the objectives the students will experience are:
- Learning about Jesus
- Following instructions
- Develop an interest in books
- Learning to play with peers
- Developing Confidence
- Recognizing numbers and letters
